Our paralegal, Kelly Vecchio, CLA, NCCP, is integral to the firm’s delivery of cost-effective client service.  She is vastly experienced and provides essential support to our lawyers so they can deliver timely and accurate legal advice.  We frequently utilize her expertise in circumstances that do not require the knowledge and fees associated with a lawyer.  In this way, Kelly is an intrinsic part of our commitment to client service excellence.

Kelly graduated in 1992 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA degree.  In 1996, she received a Paralegal Certificate specializing in Civil Litigation from Meredith College’s Legal Assistant Program.  Kelly then sat for the National Association of Legal Assistant’s Certified Legal Assistant Exam and passed in January 1997.

After graduating from Meredith College’s paralegal program, Kelly worked for Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge & Rice, PLLC’s Raleigh office as an Intellectual Property paralegal until early 1997.  She then moved to Charlotte where she was employed by Robinson, Bradshaw & Hinson, P.A. for 16 years as a Litigation Paralegal.

Kelly began working at Alexander Ricks PLLC in February 2013.  Kelly provides legal assistance to the firm’s lawyers by drafting pleadings, discovery, correspondence and other documents and provides a supportive role in all aspects of office management and organization.  Kelly also assists with and manages the e-discovery process and works with a wide variety of litigation support systems and technologies including evidence management, electronic discovery and specialized databases and trial presentations. Kelly also serves as the firm’s Office Manager, ensuring the firm runs smoothly and efficiently.
